Such deeply sad news 🖤 RIP 🖤 Chadwick Boseman - An extraordinarily talented man with incredible grace and kindness. I had the surprise pleasure to finally meet Chadwick at the Vogue Met Ball in 2019. He had been enormously supportive from my very first show at Givenchy, wearing so much of my work from the outset that we had developed a wonderful long distance connection through the collaborations working on both Couture and bespoke tailored pieces for the red carpet. I really wanted to meet him and personally thank him for his generous and daring approach to style and design. He was a dream to design for and a wonderful person with work with. Just before the dinner, I went up to Chadwick to say hello and thank him. After my shower of praise for his work and support, I expected a polite acknowledgment, but what I received in response was the most beautiful humble person thanking me profusely for making him feel so amazing. He could not have been more gracious and took the time to tell me about how much he truly appreciated the special relationship we had built understanding what he loved to wear.
