“Seoul Sistas” (2022), was created by me especially for exhibition at @leeahngallery in #Daegu, #SouthKorea. It is a #Sportrait homage to #Olympic champions @JJoynerKersee, #FlorenceGriffithJoyner, and the #USA women’s 4x100 relay team’s triumphant #goldmedal wins in the 1988 Summer Games in #Seoul. It’s set on a landscape of 5 #goldrecords, depicting the 5 gold medals Jackie and #FloJo collectively won, in the shape of the 5 #OlympicRings. #Miniature #portraits of all the #women dash across the albums in a myriad of #trackandfield events from sprints, hurdles, javelin and the aforementioned relays.
