After first seeing the @nikerunning Pegasus Premium in Paris last spring, I finally got a chance to run in it! This is Nike’s super trainer, with 45mm of stack height broken into three layers: ZoomX foam, ReactX foam, and a full length Air Zoom unit, or “plate.” (Imagine if the Air Zoom units under the forefoot of the Alphafly were stretched the length of the shoe and replaced the carbon plate 👀) I really like how this one feels! It’s a lot gentler on the legs than a carbon-plated trainer, which means I don’t have to stress about logging tons of easy miles in it. Some people might complain that it’s too heavy (it’s around 10 oz), but the weight didn’t bother me at all. The Pegasus Premium will be available in spring 2025 for $225.
