Just over a week has passed, and this still doesn’t feel real. I am most grateful for the opportunity to be the 2021 National Youth Poet Laureate and for all of the people who have made this possible. @yang.ss @aloraofficielle @fayepoets I love you, and I cannot thank you enough for your friendship. I’ll probably be revising this caption for as long as I live, so I will stop here and say that I am so honored to hold this platform, but it is not and should not be mine alone. I am one of many young people working to uplift our communities through storytelling and grassroots movements.
