As this chapter of Amarilo closes, I can’t help remember all my cherished memories, our first order, our first collaboration, but most importantly, the first time I believed in myself to start something new. I feel I have accomplished so much through Amarilo, and will continue to even if it’s not through our ecomm. Maybe it say age, but I’m admitting I used to demand so much from myself. I berated myself for not doing more, and constantly felt like a failure because I didn’t excel under that environment. Through time, I’m more self-aware, and I’m embracing that I just want to focus on one thing, and do that one thing well. Our website has opened so opportunities and I believe this is just the start, and in order to grow, maybe I need to take a step back to see the bigger picture. I have so many ideas I want to explore and share, and I’m writing this to prove that you can be terrified of what’s next, and still know it’s the right thing to do. Change is scary, and believing in your fullest potential is terrifying. But I am proud of myself and I have to write that down because theres a lot of moments where I think negatively about myself.
