Last week I posted my patients’ results after treating their Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra, also known as DPN. DPNs are dark lesions, mistakenly classified as moles in skin of color, that are neither cancerous or medically concerning but are removed because they are cosmetically undesired. My treatment of choice to remove these lesions is a 532 laser. Once targeted by the laser, the lesion gets a little red and crusty and will fall off in 4-7 days. The number of treatments varies by patient.
