‘A Scene Most Unfit for a Picture, 2022' (stereoscope and stereoscopic viewer, unique), is a new work created for the 40th edition of Small is Beautiful now on show @flowersgallery. Showcasing over 200 works, each measuring no more than 7 x 9 inches, this annual exhibition offers a rare opportunity to purchase smaller pieces by internationally recognised names and discover new talents. The work features a stereo photograph taken at Devil’s Dyke in Sussex. The reverse of the card includes the text: On Tuesday 24th August 1824 John Constable took his ailing wife Maria up on to the South Downs in Sussex.
