I'm celebrating peach season with these Maple Peach Hand Pies! They feature a peach filling sandwiched between flakey pie crust made with @churnfoods Maple Cinnamon Butter. All of @churnfoods butters are chef-crafted, flavor-forward, and made in small batches. • All their cows are organic, grass-fed, and hormone-free —meaning their butter is loaded with brain-healthy omega-3 fats. • Churn has 9 flavors of grass fed butter which are available online at churnfoods.com • Pie Dough: 2 1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour 1 (5.5 oz) container of cold @churnfoods Maple Cinnamon Butter, cut into small cubes 10-12 tablespoons ice water Egg wash - 1 egg, beaten with a splash of water • Peach Filling: 2 cups peeled & diced peaches 1 tablespoon lemon juice 2 tablespoons brown sugar 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon • Glaze: 1⁄2 cup powdered sugar 1⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon 1-2 tablespoons water • Method: Make pie dough. Add flour to large bowl. Use fork to incorporate butter until small crumbs form. Mix in ice water to create shaggy dough. • Turn it out onto floured surface. Use hands to knead/fold it together. Divide into two halves and shape them into thick discs. Wrap each with plastic wrap and place in fridge to chill for 40 min. • Make peach filling. In medium saucepan, combine peaches, lemon juice, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon. Cook on medium heat. Mash peaches as they cook. Once mixture resembles chunky jam, pour into bowl and let cool. • On floured surface, roll out one dough half until 1⁄8 inch thick. Use 4 inch round cutter to cut 10 circles. Repeat process with second disc of dough, so you have 20 circles total. • Preheat oven to 400 degrees and line baking sheet with parchment paper. Place 10 dough circles on sheet. Distribute peach filling into center of each. Sandwich with remaining circles and use fork to crimp pies. Slit tops to vent and brush with egg wash. • Place in oven to bake for 15 min. Let cool.
