Having children will change your marriage. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it’s a TOUGH thing. After having Quinn, I quickly realized how hard it would be for me to be a great wife, mother, and everything in between. I focused on our baby girl so much to where I sort of lost sight of my husband & what he needed from me. I’m here to say that if you are a new parent, give yourself grace. You are in unchartered territory. Give your partner the space to grow. Things WILL get better. One thing that we have prioritized as new parents is dating. We may not go out every weekend, we will order our favorite food & enjoy a movie or play a game once baby girl goes to sleep. It always reminds me why I fell in love with my husband and how lucky I am to be his wife. Our marriage is stronger than ever. Our friendship continues to grow. I’m so grateful that God has his hand on our marriage, because I can’t imagine spending my life with anyone else.
