Searched high and low for places in Hamptons/Montauk that didn’t seem like a total rip off or more about the party scene than the food. These are the spots that made the cut (still mostly pricey):
🐓 @lilbirdieny - for a sizable, juicy chicken sandwich, this is it. Commentary in video.
🍄 @bistroete - for the truffle lover in you, you can add truffle to nearly any dish and they even have a prix fixe menu for your dog. I mean, it is the Hamptons, right? You can see the dog is the real star in the video.
🦞 @shinnecocklobster - I was intrigued by their Diavola Lobster Roll. They also have other types like BLT or Cajun. This one is guppy sized (4oz) and hit the spot for me.
🌊 @mostradormarram - one of my favorite spots to get breakfast. Perfect portion for me and the Chipa (Paraguayan cheese bread) is a must. It’s also by the beach!
🥐 @buongiornobakery - The Italian Croissants come stuffed here and there’s no damn line to get one. We got pistachio flavor and of course, a bombolini too. They’re really good!
🍳 @carissasthebakery - one of the popular spots in the Hamptons. We stopped by for breakfast and got the Fried Eggs Sabich Sandwich at their Amagansett location. Comes with roasted eggplant, Israeli salad, zhoug, tahini, and amba sauce on a milk bun. P.S. As a New Yorker, born and raised, you might not want to look at the BEC price.
🍷 @wolfferwine - there’s more to traveling than eating. There’s obv drinking too. Take a break here and get a tasting flight and maybe grab a bottle as a gift.
🍗 @herbsmarket - saved the best for last. If I were to go to the Hamptons again, I would just grab a bunch of chicken thighs for $2.25 each at this market and head to the beach. That’s all I really need.
