✨A little bit of history about @untitledspaceny, which is art gallery located in Tribeca, New York in a landmark building on Lispenard Street (& home base for @art4equality!) ✨Since launching The Untitled Space gallery in 2015, owner and gallery director @IndiraCesarine has curated over 40 exhibitions and has exhibited artwork by more than 450 artists. Cesarine’s curatorial for the gallery includes solo shows for artists @SarahMapleArt @jesslicht @katiecommodore @alisonjacksonartist @fahrenhaute @rebecca_leveille_guay @MissMeatface @JeanetteHayes @trinamerryart @okloren @instatomsmith @nicholawola @annikaconnor @lolajiblazee @GraupePillard and @RobinTewes, as well as group shows BODY BEAUTIFUL, IRL:Investigating Reality, EDEN and (HOTEL) XX at @SPRINGBREAKArtShow SECRET GARDEN, SHE INSPIRES, UPRISE and ONE YEAR OF RESISTANCE as well as numerous other critically-acclaimed exhibitions. The Untitled Space exhibitions have been featured internationally in many publications including American Vogue, Vogue Italia, Forbes, Newsweek, W Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, CNN, New York Magazine, Dazed, i-D Magazine, and The Huffington Post among many others. In 2019 Cesarine launched @Art4Equality an initiative supporting equality-themed art exhibitions and special projects including films & public art. Recent projects of Art4Equality include a benefit art exhibit & auction (Jan – Feb 2020), as well as “Art4Equality x Life, Liberty & The Pursuit of Happiness” public art billboard series with @SaveArtSpace which was presented along with a gallery group show of over 50 artists from Sept 27 – Nov 3rd, 2020. ✨ Currently on view is a solo show by artist @katiecommodore “BETWEEN FRIENDS AND LOVERS”. Since launching The Untitled Space, curator Indira Cesarine has emphasized a program supporting marginalized artists, including women artists, LGBTQ and artists of color, with an aim to shift the dial of the art world establishment to be more inclusive.
