Meet my little film baby. April Kills The Vibe. When the world shut down and I was sitting around in lockdown, I dusted off my vision board and got to work. I decided I was tired of waiting for someone else to come along and validate my dreams of filmmaking, and it was time to get my hands dirty. I wrote the script, gathered a skeleton crew, played both lead characters, tried my hand at directing, shot it in my living room, edited it myself, and scored it with my boyfriend in my home studio. I had zero expectations, and it felt amazing. So far it’s won 50 awards in the film festival circuit, and nobody is more shocked than I am! This week, we are so exited to have it be a part of the @beyond_hollywood Film Festival where we are nominated for Best Short Film, Best First Time Director, Best Actor (@goosethighs), Best Director, Best Actress, and Best Composer w/ @goosethighs ( Whoa!).
