Autumn West End Gallery HOP! ⭐️
Spotlight on Mayfair
If you have never been to Cardi Gallery (@cardigallery) then you are missing out. Each time they open a new exhibition we are blown away by their scale and how the gallery reveal to us an artist we may not have heard of but who made a significant contribution to modern art. Once again, Cardi Gallery presents us with a showstopper, Hidetoshi Nagasawa: Passage Through Time 1969–2017.
A comprehensive retrospective across four floors of their gallery with thirty-four works from 1969–2017, we are presented with the work of Hidetoshi Nagasawa (Manchuria, China 1940 - Milan, Italy 2018), who took part in five editions of the Venice Biennale from 1972.
“Nagasawa aimed to present the viewer with a new understanding - one beyond reason - exemplified in the Japanese idea of “Ma”. “Ma” is a liminal space between being and non-being, absence and emptiness. It inhabits the gaps between the past, present, and future.”
