Off work today but very much on it. After nine days of covering the news of the Queens passing, I’ve gone from not being a royalist to having a renewed passion for the monarchy. I have heard the stories of so many people who have shared their memories of meeting the Queen with me, people who have queued for the lying in state, her former Royal butlers & those attending the funeral today. I’ve even interviewed Corgi owners 🤣 Have loved writing up all the wonderful stories & today as I sit in front of the television with my 81-year-old mother in law (who has met the Queen many a time through her work & whom I’m lucky enough to call my own Queen) & my cockapoo I’ll be glued to the TV on my own throne. 👑 #thequeen #thefuneral
