Alaska Photo Dump Part One! Days 1-4: Took a Sea Plane to Homer. Could only fit so much on the plane so I am now a fan of box wine (go w @blackboxwines ). Got a boat ride to Halibut Cove from Carl, one of the locals. Houses on stilts, one restaurant and a coffee shop. Magical. 45 min kayak ride to a 5 mile glacier hike. Indy only cried a QUARTER of the hike. Sea taxi on the way back because, uh, Indy was tired (meaning, me, I was tired). Those strong enough to continue picked up fresh oysters on the way back off an aluminum skiff with bags hanging next to a money bucket. I shucked them. Does that count?!
