It's the most wonderful time of the year: time to announce the updated #AppalachianTrail mileage for 2023! The #AT has increased by 4.1 miles next year, officially becoming 2,198.4 miles long. That's 11,607,552 feet or 139,290,624 inches of Trail. Woah. The total length of the A.T. changes slightly each year due to footpath relocations and more precise measurement techniques.
