“Time away from home” When I moved into the city a year and a half ago, I had no idea how much less time I would get to be with my family. Between my passion for photography, running a studio, balancing part time jobs, taking care of my apartment, adopting a cat,as well as finding quality time to be with my girlfriend, friends and family, I found myself alot of times stretched thin on so many levels. My mindset has changed and shifted in so many ways over the past 18 months but my appreciation for my family is one that has deepened significantly. The space and time apart has really made me appreciate every phone call, text, visit, supper, hug, and a million other little things that I honestly often used to take for granted. Being able to bring my sister, Meagan, to the studio that I helped build from the ground up is an opportunity for her to see what I’ve been doing with my time away from home, I’m grateful for her, for the pictures we have created over the past couple years and for the patience and unconditional love she has had for me throughout my process of becoming who I am today.
