“Always look on the bright side” Thanks 2021- over to you 2022. The first half of my life so far was about physically growing and learning hard skills - like walking & talking etc. The second half of my life so far has been about mentally growing and learning the soft skills - communication , self care, patience kindness and faith . The next phase of life feels like extra time to me . The time in the game when it’s truly about reading the field and seeing clearly . Making each moment count . When every learning and upskill gets called into play . When you recognize all that has been is done , and all that can be , is still very much to play for . When what truly matters is remarkably clear . It is every second of every minute and every opportunity. You lean into wisdom knowledge and experience and away from muscling your way through and defending your life . See the thing with extra time is , it happens when two teams are equally matched and skilled . Possibly boring to watch as a spectator if it’s goal less , and equally thrilling if it’s full of goals . I feel now both parts of my growth feel equally matched which is why I’ve moved into this perceived metaphorical ‘extra time’. My life has been far from boring. 2021 first six months was surprising and developmental. The second six was about making myself a priority . I now understand that balancing of growth has earned me extra time and brought out the best of me . Thank you to everyone who has worked out with me this year and reminded me of why I do what I do with your super thoughtful messages of thanks 🤍. A huge thank you to all my family and friends for all the time you’ve spent with me ❤️ Either in person or via calls/msgs. I can’t wait to come home this year and hug you all . I also look fwd to traveling and squeezing friends overseas 🤗 So as I move into 2022 I’m going to continue to look on the bright side , and stay on side , shooting for goals with an acute sense of gratitude for each and every opportunity life presents me with , both the blessings and the battles .
