if you live in a trigger state and have an appointment to terminate, CALL YOUR CLINIC. if trigger laws have already gone into effect, they can help you get it done somewhere else. if your state’s trigger laws don’t go into effect until 30 days, CALL YOUR CLINIC! don’t assume the apt is canceled, they will do everything they can to get you in within 30 days, or route you somewhere else. if you live in ANY state where the governing body is poised to criminalize body autonomy, you have options. places like planned parenthood and local abortion funds have been preparing for this. PLEASE reach out to them. (and donate if you have the means! the DNC doesn’t need your $ local abortion funds do) to my fellow menstruaters, call your obgyn, stock up on birth control, emergency contraceptives (please don’t buy out stores entire stock unless you’re distributing them), physical contraceptives, and talk to your doctor about the possibility of long term contraceptives. this shit is terrifying. but it’s not unprecedented. i wish we weren’t here, but I hope it gives you comfort (as it does me) that activists and organizations have been preparing for this. we cannot accept defeat when they have worked so hard. sending so much love to those of you in trigger law states or in homes with people who are championing stripping your rights. i am so sorry.
