You know the Pink Ribbon? Evelyn Lauder created it 30 years ago to raise awareness about breast cancer. It was still considered a taboo topic in the early 90s, largely undiagnosed and underfunded. She started a petition, sent it to the White House and made it The Estée Lauder Companies’ largest corporate social impact program. Today, they support 60 organizations, funding over $108 million dollars for research and services around the world to end breast cancer. Breast Cancer is now the most diagnosed cancer in the world, allowing for early detection, treatment and survival. Very proud to be a small part of telling these important stories. Thank you to the wonderful doctors, researchers, and survivors for your work and determined spirit. Thank you the wonderful Dr Jill Bargonetti of @huntercollege for inviting us into her incredible lab, to Professor Dame Lesley Fallowfield for sharing her witty knowledge, and to the Estée Lauder Companies’ Global Ambassadors Bari Seiden-Young and @elizabethhurley1 Thank you to the Executive Director of Global Corporate Communications, Citizenship and Sustainability @erinraecohen for bringing us all together.
