⠀ KODAK PRESENTS: Step Aboard Set in sun-drenched British suburbia - Step Aboard is a film about feeling like the odd one out. It’s often easy to feel like everyone else has life worked out. The way they behave...speak...act... It can be all too tempting to try & be like everyone else - chasing after the idea of 'fitting in' and blending in with what you see around you. “When Harry approached me about the film I knew we’d be shooting on 16mm. Harry always has a particular attention to location, art direction and styling and the palette for Step Aboard was almost like the set of a children’s television program, a heavy focus on primary colours which I knew would just pop on film. Sunlight was key to the aesthetic we were looking for. We wanted to embrace the way film handles the intensity of direct sunlight, even when it’s incredibly frontal and the benefits of the rich colour and skin tones it produces.” DP @bencotgrove on shooting STEP ABOARD with director @harrydeadman on 250D 16mm.
