This Spooky season, we are loving designs that embrace decay, decadence, and metamorphosis. Featured here: IDS prototype alum Ryan Van Der Hout's (@r_vanderhout) piece “Disco Ball Vanitas With Grandma’s Egg” from his show at the @unitedcontemporary “Collecting Dust". This work was created using acrylic vacuum form leaving the objects encased to decay in their shell. IDS Prototype alum Steven Tucker’s (@stevenktucker) Spike Protein bench from his collection 'But I Don't Want Comfort’. Tucker’s growing visual language draws upon modularity, fusion, and rupture to create objects seemingly engaged in active metamorphoses.
