(TW eating disorder) Torturous workouts, starvation, calorie counting, limited social life, needles, surgery, crazy expenses, disordered eating, meltdowns when diets fail, losing periods, addiction issues, harmful medication, mental health decline - for WHAT? For our meat vessel to take up a shape that’s... trendy? Instead of living a full life of joy and freedom and self-love? It’s not worth it. But I wish it was this easy to zoom out. The conditioning that women’s worth, desirability, and level of self-control and self-worth all lies in how their bodies look runs deep. So while we unlearn, let this be a reminder: You are perfect just as you are.
