Further exploring our curatorial practice with the new group show 'No Images'. The title refers to a poem by William Waring Cuney (1906–1976) who was part of the Harlem Renaissance movement. 'No Images' was his most famous work. In it, he describes black beauty and how race and ethnicity impact social life. Seven artists interpret the poem using different media and techniques. 'No Images' includes works by Sadrie Alves, Gladys Bukolo, Maria E André, Subin Son, Lou Cocody-Valentino, Rose-Myrtha Vercammen, and Noam Youngrak Son.
Join us at the opening event on Thursday, Nov 17, 6-9 pm, with an introduction by Sadrie Alves and a performance by Rose-Myrtha Vercammen and Céline Gaza at 7 PM. We offer free Vedett for our first 100 guests.
