however you do it, however you start, finding your way back to your heart center is the sweetest journey. while the outside energy has felt heavy and a bit painful lately, i’m choosing to show up and heal in ways that i haven’t acknowledged before. i remember there was a time when i was terrified to use my voice, when i didn’t think my ideas and, in turn, i had what it took to create impact and inspire. turns out that narrative was never true. turns out i always had what it took and have what it takes and then some. turns out my voice is my greatest gift. my creative journey is shifting, i’m more focused on collaborating, questioning and exploring unknowns. i’m leveraging the human experience, child-like curiosity, my own emotions/vulnerabilities and day to day senses to create ria’s version of light breaking through the forest. my goal is to help anyone who enters my space (physical or virtual) feel at ease, because at the end of the day this is a challenging realm we occupy. if you can, take a moment for yourself today and really look around - observe something or someone in your setting and speak from your heart center on why you value it. say it out loud. say it to them. say it to that thing. document it, if you feel inclined or simply savor the moment. this is where it all begins. this is how we start to collectively embody and exude support for self, support for others and support in shared creativity. are you willing to go there? i’ll leave you with one of my favorite lines for reflection today: “to open our heart’s more fully to love’s power and grace we must dare to acknowledge how little we know of love in both theory and practice.” may this space be viewed as my creative practice in love to you. ria.
