The Alums Spotlight! Shout out to our alumna Oluwaseun Babalola! The HBO original film she produced, "Fredrick Douglas: In Five Speeches,” was recently nominated for both an Emmy and Humanitas Prize. The documentary features actors performing the speeches of Fredrick Douglas and readings from his autobiographies. Babalola is a producer, director, and the creator of ṢOJU, a media platform that uses film and photography to discuss identity in Africa and the African diaspora. Her film "PAOLA Y LUCIA” was screened at the Imagine This Women’s Film Festival in 2019 and won Best Documentary. We’re excited to see what’s next for Oluwaseun Babalola! - - #documentaryfilm #hbo
