Stoked that these two images have been short listed for the @britishphotographyawards “Coastal Capillaries” in the Drone category and “Sky Line” in the Architecture category! However, I need your help.. the awards are now open to a public vote, so I would really appreciate it if you could vote from my images within their categories. Voting takes 5 seconds and there is no registration needed. The best thing about it is it’s a charity event, raising thousands for great causes! Please click the link in my stories or in my Bio to vote! There is some unbelievable work across all the categories. So I highly recommend checking them all out! “Coastal Capillaries” This image represents the vital systems our planet needs to survive. Rivers and streams supply our ecosystems with the water they need to live and thrive. The life blood of our planet. Similar to the capillaries in our own body, complex and entwined systems that support life. Moving the oxygen and vital nutrients we need. This image is abstract and can be hard to work out exactly what it is. However, it mimics the structures and patterns within our bodies. Illustrating that we are all connected to everything. “Sky Line” A rare morning in Dubai. Conditions that only form a couple times a year, if your lucky. The city covered in a sea of clouds with the dramatic skyscrapers protruding through. These are mornings I dream of. Mornings that are very close to my heart. This marked the start of a new part of my life. I had just relocated to Dubai. I heard there was possibility of the famous fog to make an appearance. I woke up at 4am to no visibility outside my apartment. But this only meant one thing. I managed to get roof top access at a 60 story building. Using my Sony A7iii and a 70-200 I snapped away at sky scrapers lining Sheikh Zayed road. I remember it so vividly. Standing there, on the edge of a 60 story rooftop above the clouds. It was a exhilarating feeling and I managed to capture one of my favourite images of all time. I wanted to convey a sense of dream with this image. Similar to how I was feeling. It almost didn’t seem real. What a great welcome to a new life in Dubai.
