I hated running after my marathon, and it was something I did not expect. Especially when all you see is running influencers signing up for the next race. I knew marathon training was going to be hard. I never expected it to be easy. I’ve always said this would be my first and last marathon. But I never thought I’d want to hang up my shoes and stop running completely. I spent the last few months reflecting and trying to figure out how to get back to running, because it brought me so much joy and community. For me, that looks like not signing up for a race right now. It looks like slowing things down and starting back with a new @runna plan and easing into running again. I don’t know if I’ll run another marathon. Fingers crossed maybe I’ll work with a brand that aligns. But for now, we’re taking things slow, doing movement I actually enjoy, and seeing if I cross another finish line someday.
