the key to building balanced bowls: I ALWAYS choose at least one thing from the categories below, based on the type of bowl I’m making- sweet or savory!
PROTEIN:
sweet: greek yogurt, protein powder
savory: meat, eggs, fish, legumes
CARB:
sweet: granola, oats (warm or overnight), cereal, rice crisps
savory: rice, quinoa, sweet potato, etc
FAT:
sweet: nut butter, coconut oil, grain free granola, etc
savory: olive oil, avocado, nuts, seeds, tahini, dressing, hummus
FRUIT/VEG
sweet: banana, berries, apples, etc
savory: arugula, kale, lettuce, cucumber, broccoli, tomato, etc!
