When one door closes, somewhere, the Lord always opens a window. I’ve always put my life in God’s hands & trust in His plan for me🙏🏼 I pray for God to guide me toward what is meant for me and steer me away from what is not. I feel that the time I spent on American Idol was exactly the time I needed. I showed the world my heart, I spoke about my dream of voicing a @disney princess (film) and I used my gifts to help someone else shine🥰 I learned and gained so much from my time on @americanidol and I’m so thankful for the opportunity. I quickly figured out though, that if you have a broadway style/trained voice, that is not what they are looking for. But that’s my style and I love it. (I guess I could’ve just done an impression of a different voice style the whole time, but I figured I should just be myself😂) With that said, I’m so thankful I made it as far as I did! Top 59!!!🤩 @torikelly was actually cut from American idol at the same time I was and look how far she came😍 I’m a big believer that what is meant for you will find you, if you put yourself out there, do the work and have faith. I’m looking forward to some really exciting opportunities that have come my way and I can’t wait to bring you all along on my next journey, whatever it may be🙌🏼 Everything you see me do in my life, including #americanidol is just another stepping stone toward following my dreams...slowly but surely, I’m making my way there😭 People seem to think BIG dreams happen overnight or they have this “timeline” in their head for when you should achieve it, or when it’s too late....well guess what, IT IS NEVER TOO LATE & THERE IS NO TIMELINE! Give yourself grace and be patient. Looking back on life you realize it’s all about the journey, not the end destination!! The journey is where you find yourself, learn what you’re capable of, make mistakes and learn from them...build yourself up with each “stepping stone” that will get you to the finish line, so that when you do reach it, you are ready without a doubt!!!! God’s timing is PERFECT. NEVER GIVE UP! Put yourself out there!! What is meant for you will find you! Believe in yourself and believe in your dreams. I love you. -Betty💘
