I speaking as a mother and I am speaking as a human being. I am so angry and horrified at the depth of evil perpetrated on the innocents at Robb Elementary school. 19 little children, and 2 dedicated adults killed by a twisted murderer who’s demented cause was aided by soulless politicians. The 10 Black people killed by a racist simply because of their skin color may not even all be buried yet here we are again. Guns are considered a constitutional right- but not a woman’s right to control her own body. Times like these I fall back on the words of the late congressman John Lewis who said “ We have a right to protest for what is right. That’s all we can do. There are people hurting, there are people suffering, so we have an obligation, a mandate, to do something. Get in good trouble, necessary trouble, and help redeem the soul of America." We need restrictions on gun ownership, we need strict background checks , and we need to take action against the gun lobbies.
