Thinking of Dad today on the 16th anniversary of his death 💕♥️. Becoming a parent has given me new perspective - Dad wasn’t a ‘perfect’ man but what he did have was love and generosity in abundance and for that I am forever grateful. If I can give the same amount of love he gave me, to my Ezzy, and show up to his future school plays and concerts with equal pride (soooo embarazzzzzing at the time but so necessary and cute looking back), then that’s half the job done ♥️. All the milestones that we go through without him as a family are a reminder that although he is gone, his spirit never left. He lives on in me, Ez and in the people I meet on road round Newham who still remember his infectious laugh, his charm and smile. O and don’t ask me why he took me to a Singaporean gun museum when I was 1 🤷🏽‍♀️😂😅
