Anyone else feel like the expectations of being an adult are super outdated? Society tells us that by 30, you should have your life in order, and everyone starts asking “when are you having kids.” I got married at 26, then bought a house, got a dog and a cat... it certainly checked a lot of boxes on the adulting list... but something felt off. So my husband @charles_post and I moved across the world, to northern Norway. We were on track to do all the grown-up things but we knew inside that wasn’t meant for us, or at least not yet. And we left it all behind. We moved to make ourselves the main characters of our life, to pursue spontaneous adventures (all while working for ourselves). We moved so we could hike with @mr.knute under the midnight sun (and I could rollerblade down sketchy, steep hills at 1 in the morning haha). This audio cracks me up, but it’s also a good reminder that none of us really know what we’re doing, but that choosing to do stuff our inner child would approve of is very healing, important, and worth our time. Because within every adult is still the kid we were, not that long ago. However you choose to live your life (as long as it’s not harming anyone) I fully support you! We all have different lives and priorities and realities. We all have different dreams. And I sincerely hope each and every one of you finds so much joy in your life!!!
