Growing up, there weren’t many characters that looked like me in animation. I remember being obsessed with Princess Jasmine because they were getting closer...but it’s India 🇮🇳 that runs through my veins. Little did I know, it would be #Nickelodeon and shows I’m on now that would allow me to not only watch but proudly represent my own heritage. The deep consideration and thoughtfulness from the writers, animators and team at #BIGNATE continue to astound me with each new script. I didn’t see Sabina until the episode aired, and naturally I felt my heart glow as giggling-tears emerged for the little girl inside me that always searched for someone that looked “kinda like me” on screen.
