As a dancer who is constantly on the move, fueling the body and mind can get challenging. Either I didn't plan ahead and ended up with yet another protein bar as my meal or skipped meals altogether because of the time crunch. This was not beneficial to my dancing, academics, or simply existing on a day to day basis. Not only was my brain thinking about food instead of class, but my body would shut down way sooner than I knew it could handle. While I had a drive to push through, it was really only hurting me in the long run. When I first started making an effort to fuel, it felt like the pendulum had swung the other direction. I felt sick leading to a variety of food experiments. What can I eat at what time? Before this but after this? How much? Does this have the right energy boost for power or protein for recovery? Overall, I would tell my past self that creating multiple healthy choices to grab and go allows for a safety net when I fall into the time warp. I realized quickly that a food one day didn't sit well the next and having mini options to choose from benefited me the most. Though it takes some extra effort on the weekends, it saves hours in your week where the only things you want to have to think about is what comes after the grand battement. ⭐Allow the body and mind to stay fueled properly with a unique personal plan that serves you daily. ⭐Allow the body and mind to recover, eventually seeing those gains. ⭐Allow the body to eat and enjoy the food God has given us and blessed us with. It doesn't happen overnight; that's a part of the journey 🥗💪🩰 Additionally, if you are able to make a donation to the YWCA Drive currently taking place, the link is in my Bio or DM me with questions! #missamericafit #mealprep #missocu #healthyfood #mentalhealth #fuelingmybody
