I have been asked numerous times the past few days on my thoughts about @hollywilloughby - including have I ever interviewed her. I don’t really have anything to say apart from this: the outpouring of hate, Twitter trolls & keyboard warriors makes me remember why I came off Twitter in the first place six years ago - only to go back on in recent days (for my reporting on the Queens passing) - as reading abuse, vulgarity & vicious hate messages does not sit well with me. Whoever they are directed at! Yes - I have read how people have felt. Yes - as an occasional shifter on the news desk of @thismorning I worked with the team & met her - this blurred photo is from an interview I did when we were both together @dancingonice press event. But - as much as I sympathise with those who are upset - #bekind is something I try to live by - even if that means at times not voicing my opinions when all I want to do is scream the place down. I’ve read messages from writers like myself whom I used to look up & relate too - but some of their own words on Twitter have disgusted me. Clickbait has had a huge impact on digital journalism but I’d rather have far less people read & admire my work - than jump on the bandwagon of hate!!! . . #hollywilloughby #thismorning
