let’s chat about what’s going on with this situation on tiktok: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ - women bully another woman - said woman takes it into her own hands to seek revenge - said woman reached out to the women’s husbands and flirts with them to “steal” them and intentionally lure them to emotionally cheat on their wives - her videos go viral with several women cheering her on for the entertainment and shock value - this is not a one off, this is happening multiple times ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i can’t believe that i have to say this but if roles were reversed with men doing this to their friends wives, we would call him predatory and say that he is preying on vulnerable women. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i think what i’m most shocked at is the fact that so many reaction videos have been made of people eating popcorn and watching this as an entertaining spectacle. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ this is not “women empowering women” or “girl boss yassss yay slayyyy” this is absolute nonsense and feeding a cycle of relational aggression where women hurt one another and compete for who is best. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i think what hurts is that watching this reminds me of how much i was teased, taunted and bullied by mostly other women growing up. how i have lack of trust more with women than i do with men because they have been the aggressors. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i never knew how powerful sisterhood was until i had a group of women that were supportive, caring, loving, mentoring and kind. that shit is irreplaceable and i very much wish for this type of aggression and “entertainment” to be a thing of the past.
