If you saw our billboards around SF & NYC, you may have spotted our new mascot, Sushi II. Sushi II was the star of our campaign photoshoot, and currently lives a comfortable life with one of our marketing team members. Now, you might be wondering what happened to Sushi I, but really, Sushi I happened to us. Sushi I — or Sushi, as he was known then — began his life as a show guppy. And by that we mean that he was one of the prizes at a county fair. The young lady who won Sushi didn’t want him, and threatened to cast him on a shortcut to the Pacific. Wanting to spare the poor chums’s life, the winner’s sister offered to adopt Sushi; this sister was one of Mercury’s designers. For about a year, Sushi enjoyed a nice little life in the City of Dreams. 🐟
