Day 22. Nukutepipi. French Polynesia. She has learned to spear coconuts overhead and weave palm tree leaves into accessories (coming soon: #islandcore). Her hair has not been washed, textured with sea-salt and sand, but she is so SO CLEAN. She has danced with abandon around a bonfire in the pouring rain, howling at the moon, flames flickering in her eyes. Her skin is brown and freshly tattooed with a Tahitian mark of power, fertility and descendance. She has worn little clothing (shocker!) and no shoes, leaving her with several cuts but having healed many wounds. Her time on this tiny atoll has come to an end but she knows she will continue to LIVE WILDLY. Thank you @guylalibertedj and @nukutepipi for giving me myself back. 🙏🏽
