What’s helping you put your babies to sleep? Here is Elvie Warrior Stacey sharing her experience on what works and what she’s working on.. “Honestly when I first became a mother I had no idea that babies can’t just learn sleep in a regular adult cycle. I was in for a surprise when I found out they ate every 2-3 hours as newborns. Although some days I struggle to put him to sleep no matter what I do, MOST days having a routine that works for us helps me and my baby get a good nights rest. Let me just say there have been things I’ve learned that work and some that don’t. Keeping my baby up longer throughout the day doesn’t, I learned an over tired baby is a cranky one. When I started feeding my baby after a warm shower and massage, along with some rocking and singing, my baby fell asleep much better and longer. Sometimes when I’m exhausted and tried it all, just like in the video above I have to tag my partner in to try something different. We take turns every day putting him to sleep as well as when the baby wakes up over night. It’s okay to ask for help when you need it, cause some days are harder than others! #momlife #mentalhealth #firsttimemom #breastfeedingmom #postpartum #sleeproutine
