As two growing independent media platforms @wavemag_ and @trippin.world join forces to bring print and digital together in a special edition release of ISSUE 006. Having YG on the cover for this collab immediately felt right for both platforms. Produced and art directed by Trippin, storytelling with cultural icons like YG through a travel and culture lens is something you’ll be seeing much more from us going forward. Aside from an epic interview with @YG by @noir_christine, inside ISSUE 006 Trippin have curated features exploring Black art, culture and identity in America and across the globe. We analyse travel as a radical tool against the Americanisation of Blackness and look at the relationships between people and place, magnifying West Coast culture and The Compton Cowboys, a community who are redefining their cultural narrative and purpose. All in ISSUE 006.
