i am one of the 1 in 10 women suffering from #endometrosis yet so many people have never heard of it. grateful to be healing from my laparoscopy (see ya endometriomas on both ovaries!) and hopeful to reverse some of the classic symptoms: extremely painful periods, constant pelvic/low back/leg pain and infertility. things i’ve learned along the way: advocate for yourself and persist, really dig into your insurance plan, research a support agency (@fertilityiq were a godsend), get to know your period (until endo i didn’t really understand my cycle. @seedfertility master class is a great place to start), and stick to an anti-inflammatory diet. conversation breeds education. don’t be afraid to reach out to your network. so many friends and friends of friends have been willing to offer resources and support. ps i can’t recommend dr siedhoff at cedars enough.
