Every year on the 4th of July, “Independence Day” gets played a lot, which I love and appreciate so much! This year, I’d like to take the opportunity to launch a fundraiser to help those impacted by domestic violence. @gretchenpeters wrote this song and it’s about a brave woman who gained her independence from a violent domestic situation. I love this song because of how much it’s helped others in a similar situation and because it reminds me that we have the potential to be strong even in the hardest and darkest of times. I’ve set a goal to raise $2,000 for the @ncadv and I hope you’ll join me in donating if you’re able! @teammusicislove will be matching the donation total.
