Getting the most inches 📏 & mixing methods🍸
90% of my guest have more then one method in their hair! Why!? Because guest aren’t cookie cutters. A weft and tape extensions motion can only go up and down, where your Itip and ktips have 360 degree mobility. Life style plays a huge role in the method you choose for your guest.
Here I chose handtied wefts and ktips for my guest. I watch her videos all the time, she wears her hair in so many ways and I wanted to give her hair she could work with!
I chose handtied wefts because I could layer multiple shades together, customize the density and they are more flexible! I chose ktips because I can customize blends and shades. Plus they are the most light weight method and I wanted her to have that 306° mobility on the sides for her hair tutorials.
Process:
Bottom row of HTW: 3 handtied wefts to match her density, 3 shades to customize color.
Top row of HTW: 4 handtied wefts since her hair was a bit strong in this area. I still used 3 shades to give her an amazing blend.
We talked about length and traditionally I wouldn’t go past double what their top layer is, however we wanted a full 24” so we had to add some extra grams to get her that long.
Sides: we used ktips because the hair around her face was really fragile. I wanted to make sure I could truly customize the density and ktips are the only method you can do that.
Shades:
vanilla latte-hot toffee-rooted and regular caramel blonde
