A SEASON FOR SECOND CHANCES ☕️ review ☕️ Looking for a cute and cozy book to add to your holiday TBR, but not ready for full-on Christmas just yet? If so, add this one to your list. The story actually starts in September and ends in the lead up to Christmas, so this was the perfect read to kickstart my holiday season. It had all the cute and cozy small town vibes of a hallmark movie and it’s actually more about a woman becoming her own person and falling in love with her new home rather than simply falling in love. I love how strong Annie is. After her marriage falls apart, she realizes that for too long she put herself last. So she decides to treat herself “as her own best friend.” She moves to a small town on the coast, rediscovers old passions for cooking and running a business, and finds a home with a lovable cast of characters. Mari, Alfred, the book club ladies 😍 Seriously the cutest. And Saltwater Nook sounds like a dream ✨ My only complaint is that I went into this expecting a romance and Annie doesn’t meet the love interest until almost halfway through the book. And while I enjoyed John’s gruff Scottish demeanor, I feel like the chemistry was just a tad lacking. But still a super cute winter read and I definitely recommend, as long as you go into it knowing that the story is more about Annie’s new life and less of a romance romance. ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫/5 Have you read ASFSC or is it on your holiday TBR? ☕️☃️🎄 PS If you enjoyed THE SETUP by Lizzy Dent, I think you will really enjoy this book.
