The funny part is this: the very people busily doing tribal politics in the five northern regions are the loudest crying “tribalism” when you respond. They are consistently telling delegates to vote for their candidate simply because “he’s our brother,” and they are hiding behind certain chiefs to threaten Kennedy Agyapong’s coordinators, supporters, and delegates warning them that if their candidate wins in their constituency, they should leave the land. What is more tribal than this? This is happening openly in the northern region. The same thing happened in the last election, and it is repeating itself again. No one can blackmail us into silence while they exploit tribal politics to gain power in their hometown. I am an Akan. If other groups are actively exploiting tribal politics, then why shouldn’t I also vote for my Akan native who is contesting? The tribal card has already been played, and no one should be silenced for speaking the truth.
