I could not think of a better or more appropriate story to share on the last day of Black History Month. Such a proud mama moment... 👏🏽 Cooper got a new @KiwiCo wooden train set—one designed for toddlers, with color-coded cargo that fit into specific spots at the loading station. Simple enough, right? Well, Summer had other ideas. She deliberately switched the orange and green cargo, placing them in the “wrong” spots. When I gently corrected it, she let me know it wasn’t a mistake at all. She said she didn’t like that the orange was only supposed to go with orange and the green with green. She didn’t think that was right. She saw it as segregation, and knows through what we’ve taught her at home and her lessons at school that separation based on color is wrong.
