I wanted to share this special experience from my Photography Workshop with @coachartorg — for the lesson, I had the kids explore the genre of Portraiture. In essence, “portraiture” is a collaboration between photographer and the subject. However, the lesson plan went far beyond just snapping a photo for the kids. The kids explored creating a “vision” extending beyond what the eye could see. The act of recognizing and witnessing a neighbor, friend, or family is a sacred act in itself. We see and are seen. This connection with one another fills us with a sense of joy and belonging...essential parts of feeling alive. Creativity transforms challenges into opportunities.
