☁️ Finally sharing this commercial for Scotch @3m from September. It's out now! What a wild ride. I had painted many murals before, but had never simultaneously played the role of on-screen talent, as well as mural designer, and painter. The weeks leading up to the shoot, I worked with the agency to design the murals for the set. Thinking in spatial terms as well as time-based terms was like a fun but challenging puzzle of a process. The prep day + three shoot days were SUCH a blast. The vibes on set were high, and the mural painting team were crazy-solid, adapting to every twist and turn, and all the changes in the shooting schedules. Prepping for a commercial that required filming different stages of painting a mural meant that we had to paint fast, but also slow enough to capture each stage. Watching the orchestration of the production companies, and @jorisdebeij , @devink_film , @stu604 and @dvermette do their magic was so cool. Thanks to everyone who was involved!
