Couple months ago, I was lucky to be chosen for a commission by the Beijing Central Conservatory to write music for Chinese traditional instruments. The call was to write folk-fusion inspired chamber music, on the theme of the “Silk Road”. So grateful to have had my music performed in Beijing! But tonight, a lovely group of musicians (in the last clip) came together to play my music again here at the Conservatory. What a rewarding experience it was to work closely with them and sculpt my notation into sound! Video coming out soon of the final concert— Stay tuned!
